All About Spoken 4

For nearly 20 years Spoken 4 has been touring the country spreading the message of Jesus Christ, but the group traces it's origins back to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, when several of the members performed as part of the in-house gospel quartet. Eventually Jon and Cecil, girding themselves with prayer, decided God was calling them to tour full time to spread the saving message of Christ through word and song. It was one of their wives who came up with the name Spoken 4. When the group was trying to come up with a name, Jon’s wife Amanda, said they needed to find a name that let people know they were “spoken for by Christ”. The name Spoken 4 stuck, and the rest, is history.

Over the years some members have come and gone but the one constant remains the same. A deep drive to see lives changed through the power of Christ. Today's Spoken 4 lineup boasts a rich background of testimony as well as vocal stylings. Bringing together 4 different styles Spoken 4 manages to capture a unique sound that includes the rich traditions of southern gospel music with smooth modern harmonies brought to them by working with some of the greatest musicians and vocal arrangers in all of gospel music.

Spoken 4 is constantly trying to evolve to bring about the best possible sound to that will reach people and bring glory to God. It’s that desire to bring the message to all generations that led the group down the path to their current album, Big Tent Revival. The album bridges the gap between traditional southern gospel and the soul stirring worship in most churches today. With songs like “I Speak Jesus” and “Rattle” the group hopes to reach the heart of everyone who comes to hear them.

In 2019 Spoken 4 started a residency at Silver Dollar City where you can find them performing 4 shows a day at the Riverfront Playhouse, including a 2 month long Christmas show entitled "A Christmas To Remember".
